When it comes to working out I am god-awful at getting the motivation. I always played sports year round and didn't ever worry. Well, now that I'm in school full time and not playing 7 days a week I am starting this fun thing. 30 DAY AB CHALLENGE. I will post my results every day I do the challenge (3 days a week for 30 days) and we shall see how it goes!

Oh David.
As many would imagine writing something after the loss of someone like David is next to impossible to do. But here it goes...he was the highlight of my sophomore year of high school. Back then I was just getting braces and he would constantly tell me "you were beautiful before them, and your beautiful with them". He always knew just what to say when times were less than perfect. I remember we went to my formal together (picture). And he showed up on the door step wearing jeans! Hah, our school wouldn't allow him into the dance wearing jeans so we had to raid our friend's closet to find him a pair of dress pants that would even just kind of work. It was a memorable night to say the least. I always felt bad when he would come over because we would have dinner and he would be cutting weight for wrestling so he would eat jello while I was stuffing my face...he never seemed to mind. That was the greatest thing about David, he passed no judgements, treated everyone as if they were long lost friends, and genuinely cared about your small life problems. I remember telling David something about me that I thought for sure would hamper our relationship, but he simply replied "mistakes are made but that doesn't change the person you are to me." We lost contact after we split ways for our sports but whenever I did see him I was greeted with a smile and an obnoxious bear hug. David was truly an amazing person who directly or indirectly affected everyone around him in only the kindest ways. It breaks my heart to know that I won't see him randomly show up at an event anymore, and treat me like he saw me yesterday. I was blessed with having him as a friend and having one more person that I will strive to resemble in my actions. David is where he is needed now because he had done his work here with us. It is so hard to accept right now but knowing he is being amazing somewhere else helps ease the loss. I did not deem it appropriate to write this on Facebook because I do not feel the need to advertise I had a relationship with him. So thank you for taking the time to read about this amazing man from my perspective. I love and will always miss you David.

You actually get hit on at the grocery store??
So today I am walking through King Soopers looking for teeth whitening strips, which would fall into the teeth category and thus be in the toothpaste isle. Well as I am desperately searching I look to the directory and see "Toothpaste...................__" NO ISLE! When I finally stumble upon the correct isle because I needed cold medicine, I find myself in utter disbelief at how much a whitening strip package can be! $60?!! Crap I'll just use baking soda and pinterest. At any rate...As I am standing in front of the mouthwash/toothpaste/whitening strips, a rather attractive man moseys past me and stops in front of the toothbrushes. Almost immediately he turns to me and says, there are just so many choices and I just don't know what to choose. I suggest the Scooby Doo toothbrush because who ever got a cavity with the good ol' help of Scooby? We go our separate ways and I continue on my shopping expedition. Then when I am searching for hairspray I see him again walking out of the nearby isle. He turns to me and says "choices choices choices" and then flashes his pearly whites -he must have splurged on the white strips- and I just giggle like a girl and walk off. Our final encounter happens in the fruit section where I went to grab blackberries and he approached me and told me that I seemed more like a raspberry girl.
Needless to say, he didn't bother giving me his name, asking for mine, or taking our conversation outside of the realm of the store. And there I was buying my own Valentines Day candy. Forever alone ladies and gentleman. Forever alone.

National Best Friend Day
In honor of best friend day... I would like to tell everyone about MY best friend. She is my other half and I would be so lost with out her. We keep each other grounded and always have each others backs. I could not even imagine a day where I couldn't go to her about the same problem 500 times and she wouldn't listen. I am truly blessed to have such an amazing person in my life! She comes to all my sporting events, buys me weird cards, and never fails to argue with me on pointless things. She's a keeper :)

A Day in America/Colorado
Although I am NOT an Obama fan...I find it ridiculous that people feel the need to say vulgar things about THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. He's a human people, and not only does he have a ridiculously higher amount of education compared to you, but no one can completely fix all of America's problems. Not to mention, your babbling about how much you hate him makes you seem like even more of an idiot.
Let's switch gears. Amendment 64...I can honestly say that I proudly voted NO on this topic. Not that I don't think the public school system deserves money, and not that I don't think reaping the benefits of the taxes would be great. HOWEVER, it does not change the fact that you must be 21 to be in possession and consume. So all of the high schoolers and underclassmen in college who are the most excited, can't have it! The people who have survived freshman and sophomore year have figured out (mostly) by now that weed being legal isn't as "cool" as it sounds. I literally saw a kid post on facebook "well yeah it will have it's downfalls...but the concept is pretty cool" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The only reason any underage individual is excited and not for the school part is because they are a moron and are poster children for the adverse effects of weed. Pull the grades of kids who are notorious for that stuff...and then pull the grades of the ones who are not. I'm sure you'll be able to differentiate the two easily. Again I ask myself...HOW THE HELL DID YOU MAKE IT TO COLLEGE
I would also like to say that I am ignorant to many aspects of amendment 64 with the exception of what I stated. I personally do not agree, but then again this is MY BLOG.

How on earth did you make it to college?
I've decided that I'm going to start a theme with my blog. Beginning with talking about how some kids at my school managed to get here when they are stupid as shit. I mean, I understand college is tough. Your parents aren't here to remind you of anything and your basically on your own. (This is where i'd like to thank my parents for raising me the way they did, so that I can make fun of other people) I'd like to remind people that college is NOT REAL LIFE. Your still sheltered, you don't HAVE to do anything other than go to class and do your assignments/tests. Especially the kids like myself who are living in dorms...we are so sheltered that we don't even have go anywhere but to class and the dining hall to survive.
As far as classes go...come on people. This stuff is not hard. Your professors basically hand you the answers, and if it's online then you should be doing very well...I am currently enrolled in a very basic english class that makes me want to slam my head into the desk every time I'm asked to peer edit. I come in with fully developed paragraphs, that come out to about a page typed. Then there are kids who come in with 3 sentences written on a piece of scratch paper...Are you serious? You want me to give you feed back on something my 9 year old brothers could do with their eyes closed? Please, enlighten me as to how the hell you got here...And then they edit my papers and are amazed at the quality of work. Although I'm flattered they can't ever seem to find something wrong, I know it's only because they don't understand what the fuck I'm talking about.
Then there's my criminal justice class, which is awesome...with the exception of the few people who genuinely believe every word that spews from their mouth is the gospel of Christ. There are some people in the class, who like to argue with professor, just for the hell of it. Even when they are clearly wrong! So when we get our exams back our professor likes to go through and just talk about the questions. However, some times there are some that have multiple answers, so if argued correctly, will be given credit. My friend and I tend to be the people who will politely ask for clarification on a question that we believe might have been worded incorrectly, making another answer plausible. Well the other day, we had a very valid argument which ended with us getting the points and helping other people out who had gotten the question wrong also. One girl raises her and makes a statement about how she got it right in the first place so she didn't believe that we should be given credit for a technically wrong answer...let me tell you...there is no quicker way to get on my bad side, then by being THAT person. What the hell does it matter if your getting the points anyway!? gr.
No matter where I go in life...there are always stupid people...how on earth did they make it to college?

Plenty of Fish in the Sea
“Do not worry if you feel low; the sun has a sinking spell
every night, but rises again all right the next morning.” —
Author Unknown
You are beautiful no matter what. There will be people who will come, make impressions, and leave. But the beauty is that no one can stop you from doing what makes you happy. Don't let any one person define your happiness other than you. Here are some fun facts.
- There are 6,973,738,433 people in the world to date.
- There are 107 males to every 100 females.
- 44% of the adult american population is single (100 million people)
so...yeah. (:
being single is more fun anyway. ESPECIALLY when your pretty. Which is everyone. (:

Told you so.
I'd be lying if I said I loved high school. Sure it was fun and easy, but the people did not make it stellar. There were politics and brown nosers. I'd also be lying if I said I didn't have kiss up tendencies. The difference though, is that I made the relationships to have them, not to sneak my way to the top. It's so good to see that I'm doing great in college, and those individuals spend their free time back at high school. :) sucks to suck. If you're still in high school, I'm sorry, it doesn't last forever!

Lately
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
-George Bernard Shaw
Lately this seems to be the story of my life. I've moved onto college, and things and people that I thought were so important to me, are just turning out to be well...not. I keep trying to hold onto all things that are familiar and give me comfort, while keeping new things that could potentially be door openers at arms length. However, as my comfort zones get pushed farther and farther away, I'm leaving myself with nothing but the unknown. I'm holding onto things that I just need to accept are going to change. No matter what I do. I can't control everything, no matter how hard I try. People, Places, and things that are important change. That's life.

New Knowledge
In being from a city, I never fully understood the concept of farm life. Then I moved to college. The smell is everywhere, and recently coming into my room because our heating system pulls air from outside... You can guess how pretty my room smells now. Not to mention, the horror I experienced when I found out that it's not cow poop I'm smelling, but the death of cows a couple miles away. LOVELY.
