How on earth did you make it to college?

I've decided that I'm going to start a theme with my blog.  Beginning with talking about how some kids at my school managed to get here when they are stupid as shit.  I mean, I understand college is tough.  Your parents aren't here to remind you of anything and your basically on your own.  (This is where i'd like to thank my parents for raising me the way they did, so that I can make fun of other people)  I'd like to remind people that college is NOT REAL LIFE.  Your still sheltered, you don't HAVE to do anything other than go to class and do your assignments/tests.  Especially the kids like myself who are living in dorms...we are so sheltered that we don't even have go anywhere but to class and the dining hall to survive.

As far as classes go...come on people.  This stuff is not hard.  Your professors basically hand you the answers, and if it's online then you should be doing very well...I am currently enrolled in a very basic english class that makes me want to slam my head into the desk every time I'm asked to peer edit.  I come in with fully developed paragraphs, that come out to about a page typed.  Then there are kids who come in with 3 sentences written on a piece of scratch paper...Are you serious?  You want me to give you feed back on something my 9 year old brothers could do with their eyes closed? Please, enlighten me as to how the hell you got here...And then they edit my papers and are amazed at the quality of work. Although I'm flattered they can't ever seem to find something wrong, I know it's only because they don't understand what the fuck I'm talking about.

Then there's my criminal justice class, which is awesome...with the exception of the few people who genuinely believe every word that spews from their mouth is the gospel of Christ.  There are some people in the class, who like to argue with professor, just for the hell of it.  Even when they are clearly wrong! So when we get our exams back our professor likes to go through and just talk about the questions. However, some times there are some that have multiple answers, so  if argued correctly, will be given credit.  My friend and I tend to be the people who will politely ask for clarification on a question that we believe might have been worded incorrectly, making another answer plausible.  Well the other day, we had a very valid argument which ended with us getting the points and helping other people out who had gotten the question wrong also. One girl raises her and makes a statement about how she got it right in the first place so she didn't believe that we should be given credit for a technically wrong answer...let me tell you...there is no quicker way to get on my bad side, then by being THAT person.  What the hell does it matter if your getting the points anyway!? gr.

No matter where I go in life...there are always stupid people...how on earth did they make it to college?

Plenty of Fish in the Sea

“Do not worry if you feel low; the sun has a sinking spell

every night, but rises again all right the next morning.” —

You are beautiful no matter what.  There will be people who will come, make impressions, and leave.  But the beauty is that no one can stop you from doing what makes you happy.  Don't let any one person define your happiness other than you.  Here are some fun facts.
  • There are 6,973,738,433 people in the world to date.
  • There are 107 males to every 100 females.
  • 44% of the adult american population is single (100 million people)
so...yeah. (:
being single is more fun anyway. ESPECIALLY when your pretty. Which is everyone. (:

Told you so.

I'd be lying if I said I loved high school. Sure it was fun and easy, but the people did not make it stellar. There were politics and brown nosers.  I'd also be lying if I said I didn't have kiss up tendencies. The difference though, is that I made the relationships to have them, not to sneak my way to the top.  It's so good to see that I'm doing great in college, and those individuals spend their free time back at high school. :) sucks to suck.  If you're still in high school, I'm sorry, it doesn't last forever!

Lately

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
       -George Bernard Shaw

Lately this seems to be the story of my life.  I've moved onto college, and things and people that I thought were so important to me, are just turning out to be well...not.  I keep trying to hold onto all things that are familiar and give me comfort, while keeping new things that could potentially be door openers at arms length.  However, as my comfort zones get pushed farther and farther away, I'm leaving myself with nothing but the unknown.  I'm holding onto things that I just need to accept are going to change. No matter what I do.  I can't control everything, no matter how hard I try.  People, Places, and things that are important change.  That's life.

New Knowledge

In being from a city, I never fully understood the concept of farm life.  Then I moved to college.  The smell is everywhere, and recently coming into my room because our heating system pulls air from outside... You can guess how pretty my room smells now.  Not to mention, the horror I experienced when I found out that it's not cow poop I'm smelling, but the death of cows a couple miles away.  LOVELY.
